Send Me On My Way - A Destination, Just A Dream Away

Send Me On My Way Jan 2, 2026

Many years ago, I found my younger self in the scenery you see in the image—standing on the banks of the river Godavari, close to the jungles, in my tiny village of Charla in central India.

That place still lives quietly within me, not as nostalgia, but as an anchor to who I was before life began layering itself with expectations, responsibilities, and detours.

There is a phrase that often comes to mind when I think of that version of myself: “I would like to hold my little hand.” It is usually interpreted as self-comfort or inner-child imagery, but for me it has always meant something simpler and calmer.

It represents self-reliance, grounding, and the feeling of being ready to move forward without needing to explain where you are going or why. It is about being light, free, and steady before a journey begins.

If I had a chance to reach out to that little hand today, I am not entirely sure I would tell myself to live life differently. The years that followed were not easy, and they were not linear, but they shaped me in ways I could not have understood back then.
