🔥 From Sketches to Stunning Visuals: How AI is Transforming Animation
Over the past few days and weeks, I’ve been testing different image generation models. Based on my experience, the new Google Nano Banana feels noticeably sharper and more consistent compared to ChatGPT’s image capabilities.
I’m now able to generate crisper, higher-quality visuals with Nano Banana — and here’s what I’ve learned.
Back in December 2023, I wrote about the first breakthroughs in image-to-video synthesis. For the first time, AI could take a single still image and make it move — not with hand-drawn frames, but through generative models.
It felt like the spark of a new era.
- Instead of waiting weeks for storyboards to evolve into animations, creators could test ideas in hours.
- Instead of needing entire teams to experiment, individuals could bring scenes to life on their own.👉 Read the original article
During my experience with a leading animation company in India, I imagined a character:
🌟 Anya, the explorer girl, with 🐶 Max, her partner-in-crime.
In traditional 2D animation, bringing this vision alive was a long but beautiful process:
1️⃣ Script & concept sketches
2️⃣ Storyboarding each scene
3️⃣ Character design (expressions, poses, costumes)
4️⃣ Background & set design
5️⃣ Rough animations & clean-up
6️⃣ Coloring, compositing & final polish
Every step demanded time, people, and resources.
💡 Fast forward 18 months — and the creative workflow looks very different.

With Google Nano Banana, the pipeline has been reimagined:
- Create visuals instantly → characters, sets, moods, all from prompts
- Morph & upscale → refine quality, style, and consistency
- Digitize & animate → transform stills into videos and campaign-ready assets
Someone once asked me: “Do you actually work with AI?” Now I can confidently say: Yes, I do.
And using these tools, I’ve been able to bring visions like Anya & Max to life visually — in days instead of months.
For marketers, founders, and creators, this means faster production, richer experimentation, and lower costs — without losing storytelling depth.
PS – I created a simple “Prompt Guide” for generating cool imagery with Google Nano Banana.

🌍 Strategic Reflection
For animation studios, the big question in 2025 is no longer if AI will impact production — but how fast to integrate it.
Would you prioritize using AI for pre-visualization, design, and asset creation, or explore it deeper into full production pipelines (storyboarding, animation, rendering)?
